    The forming fundamental of ERW tube mill

    The forming fundamental of tube mill: the slit strip is formed into approximate round steel tube without welding by the forming mill,and then the tube’s edge is melted and welded by the HF induction welder  and the welded seam is squeezed Immediately after welding at welding section of tube mill .At this stage, the steel pipe welding is completed, the welded tube through cooling and sizing mill and straightening stand, the final precision steel round or square&rectangular tube is done

    1) ERW219 welded tube mill is one model of ERW tube mills .The ERW219 welded tube mill utilizes HF induction welding to manufacture Ø89mm---Ø219mm steel tube and 70X70mm---170x170mm square tube and 60X80mm-140X200mm rectangular tube with the thickness 2.0--6.0mm .

    2) ERW219 welded tube mill has conventional forming technology, it is ideal for round tube , square&rectangular tube.best control on the tube dimension tolerance and length accuracy.

    3) ERW219welded tube mill is a tailored-made steel tube production line . We are able to design and manufacture the tube mill as per customer’s requirement ,Such as ,the steel tube diameter and thickness , raw material type and raw material yield strength ,specification of tube mill and your floor space dimension,power supply condition Before making quotation ,we will send the customer a request form to customer’s specific requirement. So that we make quotation that completely meet customer’s demand.

    Technological process

    Coil loading car→ single mandrel uncoiler→Pinch and leveling machine →Shear and end welding machine( strip joiner) →floor type accumulator→forming machine→HF welding  →Water Cooling→Sizing machine→ Flying Saw → tube end chamfering machine → hydrostatic testing machine →Run out table→ automatic stacking machine → Warehouse Storage.

    2. 31 sets of CNC vertical machining center and 6 sets of CNC horizontal machining center,3 sets CNC boring machine , 2 set of heavy duty CNC gantry milling machine have been in use. This lead to tight accuracy and high productivity, In this way, errors caused by match machining can be avoided, Meanwhile, the delivery time can be ensured.

    3. With the advanced COPPRA software , Out engineer not only  calculate  the roller weight  but also design roller at high efficiency.


    The application of tube and hollow profile

    The ERW tubes and profiles produced by the pipe mill can be utilized in the industry below:

    1. Core Application Areas: Heavy Structures and Industrial Buildings

    This is the primary and most widespread application area for this type of steel pipe.

     Main Structures for Large Industrial Buildings: Used in core load-bearing columns and long-span space trusses in heavy industrial plants (such as those in metallurgy and heavy machinery manufacturing), large logistics warehouses, aircraft maintenance hangars, and stadiums. Square and rectangular tubes are ideal for these applications due to their excellent bending and compressive properties.

    Tower Structures: Used in high-voltage transmission towers, large communications towers, wind turbine towers (particularly the platform support and connection structures within the towers), and transition piles and internal structures for offshore wind power projects. These applications place extremely high demands on the steel pipe's strength, rigidity, and weather resistance (often requiring hot-dip galvanizing).

     Bridge Engineering: Used in bridge pier support systems, bridge deck beams (especially truss bridges), and guardrail and maintenance access frameworks.

     Port and Offshore Engineering: Used in the main beams, outriggers, and booms of large-scale port machinery such as container gantry cranes and quay cranes. It is a core structural material for port construction.

    2. Fluid Transportation: Trunk Pipe Systems

    Within this specification range, straight seam welded pipe is an economical and efficient choice for trunk pipelines transporting various fluids.

     Municipal Pipeline Network:Water Supply Main Pipeline: Serves as the core trunk line of a city's water supply system.

     Drainage and Sewage Pipeline: Used for large-scale rainwater and sewage drainage pipes, requiring internal corrosion protection.

    Gas Transportation: Used in urban medium-pressure gas transmission networks (with extremely stringent requirements for weld quality and inspection).

     Industrial Pipeline:

    Oil and Gas Gathering Pipeline: Within oil fields, it collects crude oil and natural gas produced from wells and transports them to processing stations.

    Chemical Industry: Used for transporting non-extremely hazardous, medium- and low-pressure chemical media.

    Thermoelectric Industry: Used for low-pressure fluid transportation pipelines in power plants, such as large-scale circulating water cooling systems and ash removal systems.

    3. Machinery Manufacturing and Major Equipment

    Heavy machinery and equipment frames serve as the main frames and key load-bearing components of large-scale mining machinery (such as crushers and ball mills), metallurgical equipment (such as rolling mills), large presses, and ship deck cranes. These devices experience significant vibration and heavy loads during operation, requiring thick-walled steel pipes for robust stability.

    Pile Foundations and Foundation Engineering: Longitudinally welded pipes with larger diameters (e.g., Φ219mm and above) and thicker walls (e.g., 6-8mm) can be directly used as steel pipe piles for foundation support and permanent foundations at construction sites, bridges, docks, and other locations.
