    The forming fundamental of ERW tube mill

    The forming fundamental of tube mill: the slit strip is formed into approximate round steel tube without welding by the forming mill,and then the tube’s edge is melted and welded by the HF induction welder  and the welded seam is squeezed Immediately after welding at welding section of tube mill .At this stage, the steel pipe welding is completed, the welded tube through cooling and sizing mill and straightening stand, the final precision steel round or square&rectangular tube is done.


    The description

    1) ERW114 welded tube mill is one model of ERW tube mills .The ERW114 welded tube mill utilizes HF induction welding to manufacture Ø48mm---Ø114mm steel tube and 40X40mm---100x100mm square tube and 40*30mm-80*100mm rectangular tube with the thickness 1.5--5.0mm .

    2) ERW114 welded tube mill has conventional forming technology, it is ideal for round tube , square&rectangular tube.best control on the tube dimension tolerance and length accuracy.

    3) For the square and rectangular tube production . We can provide 2 forming processes as option .

    Option1: the steel strip is shaped into round tube by forming machine .after HF welding , the round tube is shaped into square or rectangular tube by sizing machine ,and then the square or rectangular tube is straightened by 2 -Turkey head .

     

    Option2:The steel strip is shaped into round tube by forming machine .after HF welding , the round tube is shaped into square or rectangular tube by 4-Turkey head ,and then the square or rectangular tube is straightened by the 5th -Turkey head .

     One of the forming processes can be determined as per the quantity of square&rectangular and round tube .so that the roller investment can be saved maximum.

    4) ERW114 welded tube mill is a tailored-made steel tube production line . We are able to design and manufacture the tube mill as per customer’s requirement ,Such as ,the steel tube diameter and thickness , raw material type and raw material yield strength ,specification of tube mill and your floor space dimension,power supply condition .

    Technological process

    Coil loading car→ Hydraulic Uncoiler→Pinch and leveling machine →Shear and end welding machine( strip joiner) →Accumulator→forming machine→HF welding  →Eddy current testing →Water Cooling→Sizing machine→ Flying Saw →Run out table→ Packing → Warehouse Storage.

    2. 31 sets of CNC vertical machining center and 6 sets of CNC horizontal machining center,3 sets CNC boring machine , 2 set of heavy duty CNC gantry milling machine have been in use. This lead to tight accuracy and high productivity, In this way, errors caused by match machining can be avoided, Meanwhile, the delivery time can be ensured.

    3. With the advanced COPPRA software , Out engineer not only  calculate  the roller weight  but also design roller at high efficiency.


    The application of tube and hollow profile

    The ERW tubes and profiles produced by the pipe mill can be utilized in the industry below:

    1. Architecture and Structure (the largest application area)

    1) Steel structural frames: Used for columns, roof trusses, and beams in buildings such as industrial plants, warehouses, large supermarkets, stadiums, and agricultural greenhouses. Square and rectangular tubes are most commonly used in this area due to their excellent bending resistance and regular appearance.

    2) Stairs, railings, and handrails: Widely used in stair railings, balcony railings, and guardrails in residential buildings, shopping malls, and public facilities. Galvanized or painted steel pipes are typically used to prevent rust.

    3) Construction support: Examples include scaffolding (especially the vertical and horizontal poles of portal and interlocking scaffolding), formwork support systems, and other applications. These applications require high steel pipe strength and consistent specifications.

    2. Machinery Manufacturing and Equipment

    1)Mechanical structural components: Serving as frames, guide rails, support shafts, and housings for various machine tools, injection molding machines, textile machinery, printing machinery, automation equipment, and robotic arms. The hollow nature of steel pipes enables lightweight designs while maintaining rigidity.

    2) Material Conveying Systems: Used in the manufacture of roller shafts and support frames for belt conveyors, as well as supports and guardrails for assembly lines.

    3. Fluid Conveying (requires pressure-bearing and sealing properties of steel pipes)

    1) Steel Furniture: Office furniture (file cabinets, desk legs, chair frames), supermarket shelves, warehouse shelving, apartment beds, coffee tables, flower stands, etc. Typically, steel pipes with an electrostatically sprayed surface are used, resulting in both aesthetics and durability.
